Silica glass fiber cord

Silica cord is composed of twisted continuous silica filament. The cord is designed for applications involving high temperature, electricity, or corrosive substances where small diameters are required. We supply cord/thread in various diameters. Cords also be obtained with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Coating to improve handling properties. The materials are capable of operationg continuously at 1000 D.C. and up to 1600 D.C. for limited periods, they will not melt or vaporize until temperature exceeds1700 D.C., and have a high resistantance to thermal shock.
